Thursday 25th May - Weather Prevents Play

Here we are, England, late May, mid 'drought'.

Spouse assures me that lightning doesn't strike greenhouses but he hasn't sat through a thunderstorm in one.

Hi

I think I’d check your life insurance before believing what your ‘spouse’ says ….

On a serious note, I’d be interested to know whether you think our ‘beautiful’ unpredictable weather is slowing us down in the garden (I must admit our allotment is only going to be ploughed today …) or whether it’s just making us more ingenious in our ways of overcoming our ‘drought’ problem?

A question to ponder whilst you bask in the gorgeous sunshine (aka wait for the gales to abate) …

The plus side is that our water butt has filled up after being drained to create the frog pond.

If it is still raining in August you could pay a visit to Southport to see Diamuid Gavin open the Flower Show
