Only 8 weeks until the New Year and (I hope), a new cottage in deepest, darkest Herefordshire with a garden large enough to grow veg.
I feel a whole new blog coming on...

January 2006 - Frankie & Mel are starting up an allotment occasionally helped by their husbands, Nick & Steve. The plan is to grow lots of veg and some flowers. Nick and Steve want to wear smocks, smoke pipes and drink cider... Allotment 21 will end in January 2007 when we hope to move house. www.facebook.com/frankiesgardendiary

A garden cottage in Herefordshire...Jammy gits! I am getting ready to hate your new blog with a righteous envy.
By the way - What's the very large Madame Guillotine doing in the background?.
Is that reserved for shed vandals?... Very apt, but a bit harsh for these liberal times methinks.
Ooh! Sounds exciting. Tell more...
It's early days yet and I just hope it all goes through (we had sold 3 weeks ago but it fell through - stress, stress, stress) IF we are lucky, we should be in the cottage by early 2007.
Chin up.....it always happens in the end. When we moved to this place we were on the market for a year, with barely a sniff. Then went on a winter cruise and returned to find that some people who had been interested early on had sold their home and wanted ours. Within eight weeks we were here!
It is very stressful though, isn't it?
Mind you.....I thought that this garden was big enough for veg, but the soil is so iffy, and the deep beds, although the soil is improving slowly, are not really much good for root crops, and there is not enough room for spuds here....so getting an allotment became a necessity.
I look forward to your new blog with interest. How will we know you have started it?
Yes, please drop my blog and leave a comment when you've started your new one so I can follow vicariously along! WOW! Congrats! Such a big and wonderful life change.
I will be missing this blog, though... Just thought you should know.
Now best of luck for all to go smoothly.
Oh, we can hardly wait until you have the new cottage garden to share with us! Do keep this 21 site going until the new on kicks off. Bet you have loads you haven't shared from the gardening year or all the other topics. or how to move a garden, etc.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you.
