Monday 27th March - I Spy...

With my little eye something beginning with P

I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's mate,
And I'm only plucking pheasants 'cause the pheasant plucker's late.
I'm not the pheasant plucker, I'm the pheasant plucker's son,
And I'm only plucking pheasants till the pheasant pluckers come.

We've got one o'they on our site as well. He's been there about 2 years. Now it just so happens that I do a bit of shooting now and then. During the shooting season the pheasant kept well clear, but the week after it closed, he was at the bottom of my plot shrieking at me. P**s taking little so & so ain't stupid.(Not that I would ever go near him on the allotments anyway of course.)

He would taste nice with all the homegrown veg though.

Picked one off the road yesterday. He was still warm so must've only just been hit. Ben wanted to see it close up. Very beautiful. Will post the poor chap on site. We were too squeamish to take the blighter home for dinner but left it very visible in the hope someone would. Don't know that I've ever tasted one.

The only thing beginning with 'p' I can see in that picture, is a 'pointy arrow thing'. Must get down to the opticians again...

I'm having pheasant for tea, round at my folks' tonight, as it happens. They've got one in the phreezer. Hope it'll be pleasant, or we peasants will be well phuqued.

Don't they just make you jump when they fly up nearby from hedges etc when your mind is elsewhere!!!
