Rowan the herbalist has given me some comfrey roots which we planted near the water butt on the weekend. I have also bought some of her comfrey cream to rub on Spouse's broken elbow as he refuses to drink it in tea or tincture form. He went for his hospital check up last week and has been instructed not to 'endanger' himself until his next check-up in 3 months. Spouse is now arguing that digging and forking allotments counts as 'endangering'. Hmmm

I'm with spouse on this one! Digging with a broken elbow is hugely dangerous. He should only use it for lifting a whiskey glass!
...the only real danger in this case is running out of malt!
...or sympathy.
He'd better have a nice sit-down in the comfrey chair.
He'll get neither unless he digs a potato trench this weekend!!!
