Nothing is growing on the allotment in this dry weather so I am trying to persuade Spouse to grow some sideburns. I am hoping that they will turn Spouse into Mr Darcy.Spouse is resisting.

January 2006 - Frankie & Mel are starting up an allotment occasionally helped by their husbands, Nick & Steve. The plan is to grow lots of veg and some flowers. Oooh what a grand idea! I should absolutely speak to my husband about growing some Mr. Darcy sideburns. I will start leaving Jane Austen quotations describing the personality attributes he should cultivate along with his sideburns to make the package complete!
I love to hear about your successes and your difficulties (glad to know I am not alone) on your allotment. I hope that your competing bidders all fall out and leave you the winner of that gorgeous tiller!
I suspect I will have to stick with Mr Collins but it's worth a shot! At least Mr Collins was keen on his garden...
